It’s the story of Jack, a half Chinese, half white American boy who is bullied for his appearance, his weird lunches and his awkward Chinese mother. She can barely speak English and the kids at school call him “Chinkface.” When things get so bad that his mother no longer knows how to comfort him, she reveals her special gift: she can create animals out of paper and make them come to life with her own breath.
